Environmentally friendly and with its own park: Garbe celebrates the laying of the foundation stone for 100+ in Bonn

Together with the newly elected Deputy District Mayor Nicole Unterseh and around 80 guests, GARBE today laid the foundation stone for the 100+ project in Bad Godesberg. On the 4,544 m2 plot, 48 condominiums are being built - with their own park. GARBE expects to complete the first units at the end of 2020, with work scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2021. A highly efficient groundwater heat pump will also provide sustainable and resource-saving heat.

In her welcoming speech, Nicole Unterseh (Die Grünen) emphasised the relief effect for the housing market as well as the contribution to environmental protection: "The new construction creates urgently needed living space in Bonn. It is good that the different flat sizes open up possibilities for different forms of cohabitation, so that there are solutions for people living alone, but also enough space for families with children. The groundwater heat pump also provides emission-free and environmentally friendly energy."

"100+ stands not only for the house numbers 100-110, but above all for the all-round carefree package that the property offers: the Rhine and the Siebengebirge mountains as neighbours, urban diversity, but also retreats such as the spa park just a few metres away. A highlight is the approx. 1,000 m² park-like garden, which the owners can use exclusively for private purposes," said Ivo Gotsche, authorised signatory of Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH and head of the NRW regional office. Gotsche also praised Bad Godesberg as an attractive, likeable place with an impressive history and a promising future, adding: "We are pleased to be able to contribute to the urban development of this special location."

Commenting on the development of 100+, Fabian von Köppen, Managing Director of GARBE Immobilien-Projekte GmbH, said: "The project is an ideal addition to our portfolio and fully pays off our goal of developing energy-efficient buildings with modern and spacious architecture. We have accompanied 100+ from the very beginning, after we were able to acquire the property at the end of 2016. Therefore, we are now even more excited to celebrate the laying of the foundation stone together with the team and our guests."

An L-shaped building is being constructed on the site - one part of the building with three full storeys, the other with five. A stacked storey will also be added on top of both. This will create enough space for 23 two-room, 15 three-room and ten four-room flats, ranging in size from 52 m2 to 123 m2. All flats are fully equipped with high-quality parquet and stone tile floors, balconies or terraces as well as bathtubs and showers.

To make the garden resemble a park, Garbe does not use fences. Instead, hedges border the property. Although trees had to be felled for the playground, 30 new trees, such as stone pears, crab apples, hawthorns and lime trees, provide compensation and complement the existing trees.
