Handcrafted masterpieces straight from the artist's hand: The Marketplace of Manufactures celebrates its Grand Opening
On 17 and 18 September, Garbe celebrated its Grand Opening with the Marketplace of Manufactures in HafenCity. In cooperation with the hello handmade market, more than 60 designers exhibited their favourite handmade pieces and creations in the meeting place for manufactures, restaurateurs, event organisers and visitors.
The Marketplace of Manufactures creates a new form of quality-conscious shopping that can be experienced. The tastefully furnished workshops and studios of the marketplace offer 15 hand-picked manufactories space for ideas, encounters and lively work. Here, high-quality manufactured products are produced, presented and sold in a flexible time and space. With the successful opening event, designers demonstrated the advantages of the marketplace across the board: a huge variety that invites visitors to browse and exchange ideas with the artists. VERLAN JEWELLERY, who produce filigree rings, necklaces and high-quality jewellery fairly in Bali.
TOVAA with their handmade, timeless, minimalist ceramic creations directly from Hamburg.
LÜTTEBLÜTEN, which lovingly handcrafts cards, art prints and many other products from finely drawn illustrations and seasonal flowers.
For years, the hello handmade market has stood for beautiful things made with hand, heart and head and has established itself as a meeting place in the handicraft scene. Like the marketplace of the manufactories, it is a place that celebrates handicrafts and meeting. This exchange and the numerous visitors and makers, have made the opening event something very special.
For all those who missed the Grand Opening, the next chance is already just around the corner: on 26 and 27 November, hello handmande and the Marketplace of Manufactures will be inviting visitors again. In a Christmas atmosphere, visitors have the best chance of finding high-quality and unique gifts for their loved ones.
