Garbe Immobilien-Projekte celebrates first milestone for the inner-city construction project "GO" in Düsseldorf

With the completion of the roof construction of the two buildings of the "GO" project in Gogrevestraße in Düsseldorf-Bilk, the topping-out wreath was raised on 16 March 2022. The project developer Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH is thus finalising the shell of its inner-city building project in the state capital as planned. On a site area of around 2,950 m², 71 condominiums with units ranging from 1 to 5 rooms are being built. Already 41 flats have been allocated. Due to the current regulations regarding the Corona pandemic, the topping-out ceremony took place in a small setting and without invited guests. The overall completion of the building project is planned for 2023.

"We are pleased that the first construction phase could be completed as planned and would like to thank all those involved. Even if only in a smaller, digital format: we would like to use the topping-out ceremony to show our appreciation to the craftsmanship involved and hope to be able to catch up on the celebrations," explains Ivo Gotsche, Head of the Regional Office NRW of Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH.

With the "Go", Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH is delivering an innovative concept that serves the needs of the location on the one hand and the requirements of urban city dwellers on the other. The design by the Düsseldorf architects Konrath and Wennemar envisages a design with three altanas, rounded balconies and a gable roof with technically sophisticated eaves windows, which adapts to the already existing architectural surroundings. The 71 condominiums with balconies, terraces or their own green space as well as smart-home devices are distributed over a front and rear building. The focal point of the project is the car-free, sheltered inner courtyard, through which the houses are accessible and through which a meeting place for exchange, joint recreation and play is envisaged. A sharing electric car exclusively available to the residents and five rentable e-pedelecs from the provider Green Moves, three of which are cargo bikes, complete the options for getting around sustainably.

"The project in Bilk is about creating a new concept of living. We want to address issues that are preoccupying today's society. This includes, for example, the community idea of a property as well as a smart mobility concept. Nowadays, not everyone needs their own car when the city centre is close by. The fact that we have already been able to allocate more than half of the flats confirms our approach," explains Ivo Gotsche.
