The topping-out ceremony of the Campus Tower welcomes a new landmark
The Campus Tower is one of the most striking buildings in HafenCity. A 16 storey building, which is characterised by the prominent glass boxes on the façade of the tower with an elongated transom at the side, blends together the Baakenhafen district and to the east it connects the HafenCity University to the Wissens district. The Lohsepark boarders the building to the north and the Himmelsberg, from the Baakenhafen district, rounds out the list of neighbouring buildings. Ivo Gotsche takes over management of the North Rhine-Westphalian site with immediate effect
Ivo Gotsche (44), who was born in Düsseldorf, will move from Wilma Wohnen West to Garbe Immobilien-Projekte on 1 March. At the site in North Rhine-Westphalia, the experienced architect (MRICS) and real estate economist will take over managing the project development office, which operates throughout Germany. Gotsche will be responsible for new acquisitions, development, planning, implementation and the sale of all projects in NRW.

Garbe Immobilien-Projekte hands over first flats to owners
Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH handed over the first 52 flats of the Südstadtgärten district in Bonn-Kessenich to mondial kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH as part of a ceremony. The project developer also welcomed Mayoress Angelica Maria Kappel to the festivities, representing Mayor Ashok Sridharan, who emphasised the district’s favourable location: “The new residential district combines many advantages. The inhabitants live close to the inner city, the distances to the university and the work offices in the former government district are short and there is a new kindergarten with two groups.” Fabian von Köppen, Managing Director of Garbe Immobilien-Projekte, added: “It was important for us to create a lively neighbourhood that appeals to tenants from all walks of life. Families with children in particular will appreciate the extensive green areas and the integrated day care centre.”
Architecture of the "Creative Blocks" on Baakenhafen has been chosen
With the "Creative Blocks", a construction project jointly developed by Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH and the joint building venture “HalbInsulaner”, a diverse combination of creative living and working spaces will be added to the Baakenhafen quarter. A total of around 180 residential units will be constructed, approximately one third of which are supported by public funds. “Manufakturwerk” will offer spaces for trade and urban manufacturing as well as for functions and events, forming a kind of creative centre.
